Sadleir House Library
The Sadleir House Library is a general academic library located in Room 105. Our collection is comprised mostly of donated books, however some purchases are made possible through grants and fundraising efforts. While general in scope, the Sadleir House Library focuses on collecting works in the following areas: Higher Education philosophy, history, and criticism (with particular focus on the residential college model), community building & engagement, and Victorian & Modern architecture. The Sadleir House Library is also home to the Alternative Libraries @ Trent initiative (ALTi), a joint-project started in 2005 to raise awareness and provide technical infrastructure to the small independent resource libraries available to the Trent community.
Using the Sadleir House Library
The Sadleir House Library opening hours can be found on our events calendar as well as posted on the ALTi front page. Any member of the community may borrow items from Sadleir House. The Sadleir House Library also acts as a quiet study & reading space when it is open.
