DOWNTOWN STUDENT FACILITY TRUST 28 March 2003 NOTES from the 2nd Trent Student facility meeting held on 28 March 2003 7pm at Peter Robinson College, Townhouse #1, Trent U, Peterborough, Ontario. A group gathered to further discuss the consequences of the of the successful referendum result, confirmed by the Trent Central Student Association on Sun, 23 Mar 03. The attendees were Daniel Tubb, Dwayne Collins, Marica Barnhart, Catherine Dickinson, Matthew Naylor, Fraser Smith, Chris Mather, and John K Muir. Also attending where Richard Taylor, Barrister & Solicitor; and Scott Douglas, a real estate agent. It was noted that all in attendance where either students or alumni of Trent. The notes from the previous meeting of the group, held on Thu, 20Mar03, were passed out. The group heard from Mr. Douglas, who provided details and explanations of a draft offer to purchase a property in the City of Peterborough, as well as details of the property itself. It was noted that a sub search of the property and those adjoining it might be in order. The group then heard from Mr. Taylor who provided advice regarding the draft offer, real estate transactions in general, the various forms of incorporation, conflict of interest and many other matters which were of concern to the group. Throughout the meeting all parties were able to make comments and express opinions. UPON A MOTION duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, it was resolved that, seven people, all having achieved the age of eighteen years, would enter into a trust agreement, forming "DOWNTOWN STUDENT FACILITY TRUST" to further the aims set out in the above cited referendum and at the previous meeting of the group held on 20 March 2003, and to establish and incorporate this trust as "DOWNTOWN STUDENT FACILITY". The sum of $10.00 was collected from each of the seven wishing to enter into the trust agreement, being a total of $70.00 UPON A MOTION duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, it was resolved that, that a "community group" bank account in the name of "DOWNTOWN STUDENT FACILITY TRUST" would be opened at the Bank of Montreal, 130 Simcoe Street, Peterborough, ON K9H 2H5, and that this sum of $70.00 would be deposited at the Bank and entered onto the books of the Trust as loans from Trustees. UPON A MOTION duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, it was resolved that, the signing officers for the bank shall be Catherine Dickinson, Matthew Naylor, and JK Muir. UPON A MOTION duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, the Head Office and mailing address of the Trust and the corporation to follow shall be 715 George Street North, Peterborough, ON K9H 3T2. The group shall convene next to execute the trust agreement on or about Saturday, 05Apr03 at 2pm at Peter Robinson College, Townhouse #1, Trent U, Peterborough, Ontario. With this meeting drew to a close. Mr. Taylor and Mr. Douglas were profusely thanked.
